It seems I have a wealth of exciting things happening, not the least of which is the re-release of my novel DISEASE. For those of you that have been with me from the beginning of this journey, it’s seemed like a long time coming. I originally self-published back in October of 2014. Now, just over four years later (wow! has it really been that long??) I have a second edition ready to go through Stitched Smile Publications. Continue reading
It’s been a long time coming but I can finally announce that Disease has a release date through my publisher Stitched Smile Publications! Disease was a #1 Wattpad featured book and this will be a second edition. If you’ve read it before you’ll find it’s been cleaned up beyond the self-published stage and finally shines as brightly as it can. I’m so excited. Continue reading
Yesterday I was honored to guest on the podcast In The Artists Realm and my host, Sylvia Stein made it a great experience. Despite a bit of scheduling conflict, fully my fault because I screwed up the time zones, we were able to make it work. It’s always a pleasure to discuss my writing process and books, and in this episode we go deep. Continue reading
In 2010 Warm Bodies, a book with a new kind of zombie, hit store shelves. It quickly became a bestseller and a major motion picture. Many years later the much anticipated sequel, The Burning World, will finally be released on February 7, 2017, kicking off with a multi-city tour.
In advance of that, New York Times bestselling author Isaac Marion found time to sit down to talk with me about the new book. Continue reading

The Burning World by Isaac Marion is the much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Warm Bodies. Despite the fact that it’s a sequel, it’s actually the third book in the series, following the original and a prequel, The New Hunger.
It’s like a dream come true. Back in November I threw Disease up on Wattpad. I figured I had nothing to lose, but lots of readers to gain. Back then I never imagined that it would quickly become a featured novel, and that after that I’d be watching it skyrocket in the ranks. Today I’m please to announce, nay, estatic to announce, Disease is now #1 on Wattpad Featured Horror!

I know it’s been quiet for a while over here, but that’s been because I’ve been working on lots of big, bad things just for you. As such, I have lots of great news to share with you!
Firstly, as you may know already, “Disease” was picked up by publisher Stitched Smile Publications. Stitched Smile is well known in the horror community as a purveyor of fine horror writing. I’m both honored and excited to be a part of their team, where I’m now a “VIP” author.

The End of the Story is, ironically, the beginning for author Clark Ashton Smith. If you’re not familiar with CAS, he was one of H.P. Lovecraft’s contemporaries. He was also one of Weird Fiction magazine’s largest contributors, focusing mainly on horrific fantasy tales and dark sci-fi.
I wrote and published this blog post for Mash Stories.

You’ve worked hard on your manuscript and, like a juicy red apple you’re about to leave on your favourite teacher’s desk, you want it to be polished to perfection. Now that it’s time to relinquish the fruits of your labour to a professional editor, how do you avoid getting ripped off? How do you know the editor you’re about to rely on closely is sufficiently qualified?
